International School of America (ISA) Library Acceptable Use Policy
The ISA Library is a valuable resource for students, parents, and educators, providing access to a wide range of educational materials and
tools. To ensure a safe, productive, and respectful learning environment for all users, we have established the following Acceptable Use
Policy (AUP). By using the ISA Library, you agree to abide by these guidelines:
1. Respect for Others:
- Treat all users with respect and courtesy.
- Refrain from using language that is offensive, discriminatory, or harassing.
- Respect the privacy and intellectual property of others.
2. Responsible Use of Resources:
- Use the library's resources for educational purposes only.
- Do not download, copy, or distribute copyrighted materials without permission.
- Use the library's technology resources responsibly and in accordance with any applicable laws.
3. Online Safety:
- Do not share personal information online, such as your full name, address, or phone number.
- Report any suspicious or inappropriate activity to ISA staff immediately.
- Be mindful of your digital footprint and the information you share online.
4. Academic Integrity:
- Complete your own work and do not engage in plagiarism or cheating.
- Cite sources properly when using information from the library's resources.
- Use the library's resources to enhance your learning, not to replace it.
5. Compliance with Policies:
- Follow all ISA policies and procedures, including those related to technology use and online behavior.
- Respect the terms of use for any third-party resources accessed through the ISA Library.
Consequences of Violations:
Violations of this AUP may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- Temporary or permanent suspension of library privileges.
- Loss of access to specific resources or tools.
- Referral to school administration for further disciplinary action.
Agreement:
By using the ISA Library, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this AUP and agree to abide by its terms and conditions.
